As the day draws nearer when we give thanks for a bountiful harvest, I wish all of my readers a Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope that wherever you celebrate the occasion your table groans under the weight of plentiful food and drink.


I have used these Pheasant dishes before HERE.  I like to show different ways to use the same china.

For this table, I started with a plaid tablecloth in green, orange & black.

The plate stack is simple and starts with a burlap-covered charger and then the Pheasant dinner plate.
The orange plate is topped with the salad plate from the Pheasant set.

Two napkins were stacked one on top of the other, one in green and the other is a different plaid than the tablecloth.

Don't be afraid to mix plaids.  As long as they each have similar colours they will go together.

A centrepiece was quickly assembled using a small white urn, hydrangea, two pumpkins stacked and some faux bittersweet.

Black wooden candlesticks and amber-coloured goblets were added to the table.

Plaid and tartan blankets were placed over the backs of chairs to add extra warmth.

Orange Plates - Cambria at Pottery Barn - I believe this colour has been                                   discontinued.
Plaid Napkins - Sears a couple of years ago.
Green Napkins - Pier 1 Imports  Green Napkins
Copper Napkin Rings - Chapters/Indigo a couple of years ago.
Amber-coloured goblets, Black candlesticks, sugar bowl - From the thrift store.

    This is a stunner, Barbara. I LOVE the idea of two napkins on Thanksgiving. That's pretty brilliant! And the pumpkin stack is so striking. It all comes together so well. I love every detail.

    I love this! Ok, I love fall, and tablescapes, and this is just so so pretty. I love the pheasant plates too. I have a pheasant embroidered throw pillow I always bring out for fall. :)

      Thank you, Cheryl. I like pheasants too. I have a pheasant cross-stitch picture hanging in my front hall that my mother made before I was born. It is very special to me. Enjoy your pillow and Thanksgiving.

    What a beautiful table, Barbara! You’ve reminded me that I need to get my two fall decorations out of storage and onto display asap. Obviously I need the skills of someone like you to make me look festive!
